How is today's gold price calculated?+
We pull the international gold spot price (per troy ounce) from live market feeds, then convert it to your chosen currency, weight unit (gram, ounce, kilogram) and karat purity in real time.
What is the difference between 24K, 22K, 18K and 14K gold?+
Karat measures purity. 24K is 99.9% pure gold, 22K is 91.7%, 18K is 75% and 14K is 58.3%. Lower karat means more alloy metals — and a lower price per gram for the same weight.
How often are the precious metal prices updated?+
